Initially recruited to stabilize financial and artistic positioning of the company after
heavy financial losses. Overall leadership of two renowned concert series (15
subscription concerts per season, 1,500 seats/concert), the festival producing
operas and concerts (three orchestras in residence) and the world leading
international singing competition for baroque opera. Responsibility for the festival
includes artistic planning together with the Artistic Director. For the concert series
Korselt keeps the position of Artistic Director himself. Provides leadership for up
to a 130 person workforce during the festival. Oversees all finances, artistic
productions, development, marketing and human resources. Quit the position
after transformation of the festival into an affiliate company of the Tyrol State
Theatre.
Selected Results:
•
Significant increase of artistic quality stated in 2015 by over 60 international
newspapers and magazines. Producing concerts with outstanding soloists
like Anne-Sophie Mutter, Julia Fischer and leading orchestras including
Munich Philharmonic and London Symphony.
•
Achieved $9,7 million in sponsoring, philanthropy and subsidies since 2014.
•
2014: Best financial statement in history of the company, 25% increase in
fundraising profits.
•
Seat occupancy rate festival 97%, concert series 100%.
•
2015: 52% increase of annual surplus in 2014.
•
2015: Increased seat occupancy rate festival to an all-time record of 99%
(97% sold tickets), concert series 100%.
•
Development and implementation of a new CI.
•
Development of popular formats, e.g., performances on exceptional venues
(Concerto Mobile), combination of different music styles (e.g., Festwochen-
Remix: electronic music plus baroque improvisation), special
concerts/opera for children.

Continuous improvement of international media coverage (2014/2015):
79/88 journalists from 12/16 countries, TV, Radio, CD, DVD and Live
Stream productions. Increase of social media activities.

2015/16: Development and implementation of a new workforce structure:
Alliance with Tyrol State Theatre solves 20 years old workforce problem.

2016: After restructuring 30% increase membership numbers of “Circle of
Friends”.

2015 and 2016: Opera productions nominated for the International Opera
Awards (London).

Selected Responsibilities:
•
General management of orchestra, ballet and opera venues, e.g., UNESCO
World Heritage Voelklinger Huette during renovation of the theater. Head of
the international project Total Théâtre (3 years, 7 theatres, 4 countries, 3
languages) with a budget of $4,3 million.
•
Coordination of all departments in various occasions: artistic (dance,
concert, opera, theater), workshops, operations and production, marketing,
finance and administration.
•
Regarded as skilled negotiator. Responsible for contract negotiations with
stage directors and artists as well as staff and co-operation partners.
•
Representing Organization and the Executive Board to external
constituents at all levels in various occasions such as German League of
Orchestras, Opera Europa, business circles, politicians and media.
•
Responsible for fundraising. Mercedes-Benz-Bank as new top sponsor after
reorganizing the department. Achieved $2,3 million in support by European
Union for Total Théâtre.
•
Involved in developing programs for younger audience. Increase of
students from 6,000 to 20,000/year.
Homburg Master Concerts, Homburg/Germany

Oversee all programming, negotiations and finances of 9 subscription concerts
per season at the highest international artistic level (performing artists, e.g., Ian
Bostridge, Hélène Grimaud, Martha Argerich, Grigory Sokolov, Rudolf
Buchbinder, Academy of St Martin in the Fields, Munich Chamber Orchestra).
•
Significant increase of artistic level, stated by stakeholders and media
(“most renowned concert series in SouthWest Germany”, Saarbruecker
Zeitung).
•
Development and implementation of a new corporate design in 2013.

Established successful new format “masters of tomorrow” – a showcase for
the young artistic elite.
•
Established a cooperation with renowned ARD Music Competition.
